Taeyeon, a renowned soloist and member of iconic group, Girls’ Generation, is set to unveil her fifth mini-album, “To. X,” Monday evening, more than a year and nine months after her last EP, “INVU.”

The upcoming album is comprised of six tracks, with the title song, “To. X,” standing out as a central piece.

Taeyeon actively contributed to the songwriting process, as her agency SM Entertainment revealed that “she shared perspectives on the theme and lyrics concept, leading to an album that promises to resonate with her profound emotions” through an official press release.

The R&B-style title track blends guitar sounds with rhythmic melody, while the lyrics capture the emotions of a breakup occuring as one realizes they are no longer in control.

Leading up to and following the album’s release, Taeyeon has also planned a wide range of content for her fans.

This includes the “TAEYEON ‘To. X’ Countdown Live” on various online platforms, including YouTube’s Taeyeon channel and TikTok Girls’ Generation channel, scheduled for Monday at 5 p.m. Additionally, the “Letter ‘To. X’ Concept Room” will open at ON THE MOVE in Seongdong District, Seoul, from Monday to Dec. 3.

Taeyeon first made her mark as the leader of the K-pop girl group, Girls’ Generation in 2007. Since branching out as a soloist in 2015 with the album, “I,” she consistently demonstrated her musical prowess, rolling out chart-toppers like “If” (2008), “Fine” (2017) and “Four Seasons” (2019).
