Suspects break into storage facility, remove locks from storage units: Brunswick Hills Township Police Blotter

Breaking and entering, Pearl Road

Management at Brunswick Mini Storage reported a break in at 3:35 a.m. Sept. 6. According to police reports, two persons were seen on video inside a secured area after one broke the lock from an electronic locking mechanism on a gate and was able to open the gate manually. Once inside, the suspects reported broke the locks off 11 rented storage units. Police were able to get footprint evidence as well as tire track evidence from the newer model, white Ford F250 the suspects arrived in but were unable to get a license plate number. The incident remained under investigation at the time of the report.

Fraud, Plum Creek Parkway

A woman reported being defrauded of $2,500 by a man who said he would remove viruses from her computer Sept. 7. The man reportedly sent the woman a $2,500 check and told her to deposit it in her bank and use it to purchase $500 worth of gift cards and give him the numbers from the cards, as payment for the computer repair. The woman did so and later from the initial $2,500 withdrawn from her account by an unknown person.

Theft, Terrington Drive

A woman called police Sept. 7 and reported finding the front license plate missing from her car on Aug. 31.
