Suspect wounded during police-involved shooting in Englewood; officers face angry crowd

Chicago police shot and wounded a suspect Sunday afternoon in the city’s Englewood neighborhood on the South Side.
No officers were struck, but a male suspect was hit by gunfire near the intersection of 57th and Aberdeen streets, police said, citing preliminary information.
The suspect was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center in unknown condition, according to the Chicago Fire Department.
Police are expected to provide details to the public later this afternoon.
