PITTSBURGH — Syracuse men’s basketball starting center Naheem McLeod will miss the rest of the season.
Head coach Adrian Autry dropped the news in his postgame press conference Wednesday night following the Orange win over Pittsburgh.
Autry said the 7′ 4″ junior had a successful surgery on his foot. McLeod tweeted “Thank God” Wednesday afternoon.
McLeod had started the first 14 games of the season where he average 3.9 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.9 blocks. Forward Maliq Brown will largely fill McLeod’s role at center for the remainder of the season.
