The Phoenix Suns will be short handed for the second half of Tuesday’s game against the Sacramento Kings.
Phoenix announced guard Bradley Beal was ruled out with a left hamstring injury.
Injuries have been a concern for the 30-year-old this season, as back and ankle injuries kept him sidelined at times. He played just 29 of the Suns’ first 53 games in the 2023-24 campaign coming into Tuesday’s contest.
He is more of a secondary scorer to Kevin Durant and Devin Booker at this point despite his All-Star history and is averaging 18.7 points, 4.7 assists and 4.4 rebounds while shooting 49.3 percent from the field and 35.8 percent from deep this season.
The three-time All-Star played just 40 games in the 2021-22 campaign and 50 games last season when he was a member of the Washington Wizards.
Look for Phoenix to give more playing time to Grayson Allen and Eric Gordon while still relying on Durant and Booker to carry the offense if Beal is sidelined beyond Tuesday’s contest following this setback.
