Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen is having another outstanding season. Going into Sunday night’s game at Cincinnati, Allen has the fifth-best odds to win the NFL’s Most Valuable Player Award.

Here are two must-bet Josh Allen props for Sunday Night Football:

Josh Allen SNF Player Props: Passing touchdowns over 1.5 (-145 or better, BetMGM)

Allen is the driving force behind the Bills’ offense. He has 17 touchdown passes (third in the NFL) and is fifth in passing yards with 2,165. Buffalo is 5-3 and one game behind Miami in the AFC East, so it will need a victory to keep pace.

After not practicing Wednesday because of a right shoulder injury, Allen was a full participant in Thursday’s practice. He is on-track to play Sunday night.

Allen has averaged 2.1 touchdown passes per game this season. He has thrown a touchdown in each of Buffalo’s eight games and has two touchdown passes in six of the eight games.

He is a big-game player and the matchup against the Bengals certainly qualifies as a big game, especially with the broadcast on national television (8:20 p.m. ET, NBC).

The Bengals’ defense is ranked a nothing-special 21st in the NFL against the pass. Wide receiver Stefon Diggs is Allen’s favorite target with 64 receptions for 748 yards and six touchdowns.

Josh Allen SNF Player Props: Under 267.5 passing yards (-115 or better, BetMGM)

Allen is fifth in the NFL in passing yards, averaging 270 yards per game. He has passed for more than 267 yards in four of Buffalo’s eight games.

But with his injury, expect Buffalo to play more conservatively and rely more on its running game. Cincinnati has the NFL’s 28th-ranked rushing defense, and Buffalo is ranked 14th in running the ball. That’s an obvious path to success for Buffalo and it could reduce the strain on Allen’s shoulder.

The Under looks like a smart play. A shoulder injury could impede Allen’s ability to throw the long ball —one of his specialties. And with the potential of additional running plays by the Bills, Allen’s passing yards are likely to be below his average.
