Sundar Pichai Shares A Stunning Diwali Pic Of Sparklers Clicked By Chennai Photographer; Priyanka Chopra Reacts

A major attraction of Diwali festivities is sparklers. Called phooljhadi in Hindi, the word literally means a shower of flowers (phool). On the eve of Diwali, Google’s desi boss Sundar Pichai shared a picture by Chennai-based photo artist Madhan Mohan Raman of a little girl with a live sparkler in her hand. The photo was clicked from a Google Pixel phone and shared with the hashtag #TeamPixel. Pichai enthusiastically shared the same on his Instagram, wishing everyone a fun and festive Diwali. The Google chief’s Diwali post has garnered thousands of views and likes, including from celebs like Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas and others.

Here are some hilarious reactions to Pichai’s Diwali post, with most either wanting a job or an internship at Google. One even asked Pichai to make him popular on YouTube.

The Google boss also took to Twitter and shared Diwali greetings with a gif of Rangoli. He wrote that there’s a surge in Google Search about variousDiwali traditions. He shared the top trends on the WHY questions about Diwali, including the top 5:

1) Why do Indians celebrate the festival of lights? 2) Why do Indians make colorful rangoli on Diwali? 3) Why do Indians light diyas and lamps on Diwali? 4) Why is Laxmi puja done on the eve of Diwali? 5) Why do Indians take oil baths on Diwali?

Meanwhile, on Twitter, Apple CEO Tim Cook also extended his Diwali greetings. He shared a picture taken by Chandan Khanna on the iPhone 15 Pro Max.

OpenAI’s ChatGPT also shared Diwali wishes on its Twitter handle.

UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak celebrated Diwali at the official residence along with his family and Indian External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar. The duo expressed their best wishes to the Indian diaspora in England and around the world.
