Rishi Sunak is now 3/1 to leave his role as Tory leader next year after his first Prime Minister Questions, having been 4/1 on Wednesday morning.

Betfair Exchange: Rishi Sunak exit date

2022: 31/1

2023: 3/1 (was 4/1 before PMQs)

2024: 15/8

2025 or later: 11/8

Betfair spokesperson Sam Rosbottom said: “Following his first Prime Minister Questions on Wednesday, odds have been slashed on Rishi Sunak to leave his role as Tory leader next year.

“The new Prime Minister, who avoided questions on why he reappointed Suella Braverman to cabinet after she resigned under Liz Truss’ reign last week, is now 3/1 to go in 2023, having been 4/1 on Wednesday morning.

“Keir Starmer’s Labour are the 11/8 favourites to win a majority at the next General Election, while the Conservatives are 5/1.

“Starmer continues to call for a General Election, but that seems most likely to happen in 2024 or later at 1/3, according to Betfair Exchange.”
