Studio 10 star Jono Coleman dead at 65 after cancer battle

Studio 10 star Jonathan ‘Jono’ Coleman has died at the age of 65 after a four-year battle with prostate cancer.

The UK-born TV and radio icon’s family announced the sad news in a touching statement on Twitter on Saturday morning.

“It is with the heaviest of hearts that the Coleman family confirm radio and television presenter Jonathan Coleman OAM has lost his four-year battle with prostate cancer.

“He died peacefully last night with his adored Margot and children Oscar (27) and Emily (24) by his side, aged 65.”

Jono’s wife of 31 years, Margot, remembered her husband as “someone with enormous talent and the gift of making people laugh”.

“I will miss him beyond words but with the support of our gorgeous children, Oscar and Emily, and their partners, we will continue to live in the manner he wanted,” she said.

The message was shared by Jono’s son Oscar, who also tweeted a sweet photo of him with his late dad.

“Love you dad. Rest in Peace,” he wrote.

Jono’s famous friends have paid tribute to the much-loved media personality on social media.

“Rest In Peace Jono. You will forever remain fabulous,” wrote Melissa Doyle, who previously worked with Jono on Sunrise.
