Stuart Robert slams Labor’s ‘embarrassing’ economic plan

Employment Minister Stuart Robert says he is “embarrassed” for Labor after Shadow Treasurer Jim Chalmers released the party’s broader economic plan.

The Opposition’s plan includes further measures on multinational tax using the OECD’s recommended approach.

“It’s not an economic plan, it’s 11 pages of scribble across three pillars of job cuts,” Mr Robert told Sky News Australia.

“Let’s have a review and let’s ostensibly agree with the Coalition when it comes to multinational anti-tax avoidance.

“Something we have been driving on for four or five years, something the Treasurer, now the Prime Minister, was passionate on.”
