Stradivarius became the winningmost horse of Group races trained in Europe after claiming his 18th success at that level with a determined victory in the Group 2 Paddy Power Yorkshire Cup under jockey Frankie Dettori.
The eight-year-old briefly looked in trouble three furlongs out before snapping back on to the bridle before battling on to beat the front-running Thunderous.
