It’s been a huge week for Texas Longhorns athletics. Usually that’s indicative of football success in November, but the basketball team has received much of the shine this week.

For the fourth time in school history, the Texas basketball team earned a win over a No. 2 team in the AP poll. Not to be outdone, Sarkisian’s squad mopped the field with Kansas to end the week.

Despite the return of once Heisman hopeful quarterback Jalon Daniels, the Jayhawks offense was missing in action on Saturday. A 14-yard touchdown pass from Daniels to Torry Locklin gave Kansas its first points of the game with 1:55 remaining in the third quarter.

Bijan Robinson was the story for Texas. The generational player rushed for 243 yards and four touchdowns on 25 carries.

Let’s look at what Twitter users took away from Texas’ burial of Kansas.

Finding their rhythm

Texas has 10 offensive points in the second half today. That’s more than the last 3 games combined.

Kansas has the culture OU talks about having

Kansas still fighting harder than OU did

No mercy

Apparently we decided to let off the leash… ain’t even mad.

Time to let off the gas

In the spirit of sportsmanship Texas needs to start throwing the ball.

Keeping it simple

Ideal play-call on third-and-9?

Hand it to Bijan.

He gets nine. #Longhorns on the move in the middle of the third quarter. Career-high 243 yards and counting for Bijan. #HookEm

High percentage throws

Sark has focused on high percentage passes & easy completions for his young QB Quinn Ewers today. By my tally, #Texas has just 2 targets of 20+ yards so far vs Kansas. #HookEm #Horns

Kwiatkowski has built his defense

The effort and discipline that the Texas defense has played with the last few months is night and day compared to last year. #HookEm

Feels like 2005

Y’all remember when every game used to be like this???

It’s been a minute #TEXvsKU

Where have the Bijan touches been?

How in the world did we give that guy 12 touches in the biggest game of our season 😭

Sark learns

Not many deep shots today. Guess the message was received.

Make it official

November 19 should forever be known as Bijan Robinson day. What a performance today!!
