Amanda Lemos keeps winning.
Entering UFC 259, Lemos (9-1-1 MMA, 3-1 UFC) had victories by decision and submission under the promotional banner – and she added a TKO to her resume Saturday at the UFC Apex.
In the third preliminary card fight, Lemos dispatched former Invicta FC strawweight champion Livinha Souza with punches at 3:39 of Round 1.
From beginning to end, Lemos put on a striking clinic. She dropped Lemos early in the round with a heavy overhand right. Souza (14-3 MMA, 3-2 UFC) survived the attack that followed and worked her way back to her feet. However, she didn’t remain there for long.
Shortly thereafter, Lemos floored Souza with a stiff left jab. From there, minimal strikes were enough for referee Jason Herzog to jump in and wave off the fight.
