Sterling football players earn accolades
Sterling #Sterling
The Sterling Tigers football team may have ended the season with a 4-5 record, but those numbers don’t accurately reflect the success of the season when looking at the accolades the team collected.
Six players made the Patriot League All-Conference list: senior Gage Parker and juniors Hunter Diamond, Ayden Gandee, Carter Jaeger, Aidan Kiser and Kaden Maikowski. Three others earned All-Conference Honorable Mention: senior Manny Renteria, junior Tim Scheufele and freshman Hunter Hershfeldt.
Longtime head coach Rob Busmente was also recognized by the Patriot League as Coach of the Year.
Off the field, nearly a dozen players also earned academic honors:

• Manny Renteria
• Aidan Kiser
• Hunter Koester
• Logan Gray
