Stephen A. Smith storms off set after heated Cowboys debate with Ryan Clark

Stephen A. Smith had enough of Ryan Clark during Monday’s episode of “First Take.”

The ESPN personalities went at it multiple times during the two-hour show and things boiled over when Smith walked off the New York set during a heated debate about the Cowboys.

Smith’s disgust for the Dallas team and its dedicated fanbase is nothing new for “First Take” viewers, who’ve witnessed the 55-year-old broadcaster troll the Cowboys on-air for years.

“Bottom line is this: Dak Prescott will be better this year, the Dallas Cowboys will be better this year,” Clark, who appeared on the show virtually, said.

“The Dallas Cowboys have a chance to not only have the best defense in the NFC, they have a chance to have the best defense in the entire NFL.”

That’s when Smith, who was grinning and swaying back and forth, launched a verbal attack on Cowboys supporters.

“I’ve said, ‘If the nuclear bomb dropped, it’s rats, roaches and Cowboys fans,’” Smith said.

“It’s amazing to me after all the years of futility they have you and everybody else sitting up there and going, ‘They gonna be better this year, they gonna be better this year.

“Stop it, they’re gonna be what they’ve been being,” he continued.

“They are going to be right there, they are going to be good enough to get in the playoffs, then they’re going to go home.

“I’m done with the Cowboys stuff, you don’t listen. Despite how good they are talent wise, they’re going to fall again.”

When they didn’t see eye to eye about Dallas’ chances this season, Smith stormed off the set — and left behind NFL reporter Kimberly Martin and Christine Williamson, who was filling in for “First Take” host Molly Qerim.

Smith’s reaction was clearly an exaggeration, as he and Clark are known for sharing a laugh after their heated debates.

Elsewhere in the show, things got heated while Smith and Clark debated whether or not new Raven Odell Beckham Jr. will be a 1,000-yard wideout with quarterback Lamar Jackson.

“I just don’t like that RC is mad, that he is disgusted with me. That hurt my feelings,” Smith said after Clark’s body language signaled he was frustrated.

“Your feelings should be hurt,” Clark joked, while Martin laughed.

Monday’s episode of “First Take” marked Smith’s return from his buzzed-about Caribbean vacation last week. The outspoken ESPN personality, who tends to keep his personal live private, was photographed getting close with a mystery woman on a Barbados beach.
