Steelers vs. Giants score: Live updates, game stats, highlights for Monday Night Football matchup

Steelers #Steelers

The Pittsburgh Steelers and New York Giants are duking it out in the first of our two “Monday Night Football” games this week, and we have a tight contest on our hands. Through one half of play, the Steelers were able to grab a 16-10 lead thanks to a 13-0 run they put together in the second quarter. Daniel Jones spent the majority of the first half trying to escape Pittsburgh’s tenacious pass rush, but he did break loose for one play to hit Darius Slayton on a beautiful 41-yard touchdown pass. Ben Roethlisberger has had his ups and downs Monday as he plays in his first game back after suffering a serious elbow injury last year. The future Pro Football Hall of Famer did hit JuJu Smith-Schuster on a nice 10-yard pass that cut the lead to a single point, but Chris Boswell missed the extra point. The Steelers then were able to take their first lead of the game after James Washington fought his way into the end zone following a 13-yard catch with just seconds remaining before halftime.
