Coffee Crisp #CoffeeCrisp

Pumpkin Spice Lattes, apple cinnamon-spiced baked goods and more seasonal treats have begun to hit menus across the country, signaling the preemptive start of fall — and one food creator has the perfect recipe to save people from splurging on pricey consumer favorites.

KaleJunkie founder and recipe developer Nicole Keshishian Modic shared her recipe with “Good Morning America” to make “five drinks in the comfort of your own home for the cost of just one” from popular Seattle-based coffee chain Starbucks.

Save both time and money by recreating the Starbucks-inspired iced apple crisp oat milk latte and shaken espresso below, in just two steps.

The apple brown sugar syrup can also be added to any version of your favorite coffee drink, plus she shared a caramel sauce that makes an even more decadent treat.

Starbucks-inspired Apple Crisp Latte and Shaken Espresso

“Say hello to fall in a glass, because this one is really good,” she wrote alongside this recipe, which also happens to be dairy-free.⁣

Apple Brown Sugar Syrup⁣1/4 cup applesauce⁣1/2 cup brown sugar⁣ (or coconut sugar or @lakanto monk fruit brown sugar)⁣1/3 cup water ⁣2 teaspoons cinnamon⁣⁣

Caramel Sauce⁣3/4 cup cane sugar (or @lakanto monk fruit sugar)⁣3 tablespoons water⁣3 tablespoons applesauce⁣1/4 cup canned coconut milk or dairy-free heavy cream (or regular heavy cream)⁣2 tablespoons vegan butter⁣1 teaspoon cinnamon⁣1/4 teaspoon nutmeg⁣1/4 teaspoon allspice⁣⁣

Drink⁣1 cup cold brew coffee or very strong coffee,⁣ or 2-3 shots espresso⁣1 cup oat milk (or milk of choice)⁣Ice cubes⁣

Directions⁣

To make the apple brown sugar syrup: In a small sauce pan over medium heat, add all of the ingredients listed above.

Stir, bring to a gentle boil, then reduce heat to low, cover and let simmer for 2-3 minutes.

Pour the syrup into a covered jar. Place the jar in the refrigerator until you are ready to make your drink.

⁣To make the caramel sauce: Add sugar and water to a small sauce pan. Bring to a gentle boil until bubbling, then reduce heat to a slow simmer for about 7 minutes, until the sugar turns a caramel color.

Remove the pot from the heat, then gently add in the rest of the ingredients — applesauce, coconut milk/heavy cream, butter and spices. Stir until smooth. No need to return the pot to the heat.

Transfer to a covered jar and place in the fridge until you are ready to assemble your drink. ⁣

“Simply blend up the following ingredients and store the creamer in the fridge. When you are ready to make a drink, add ice cubes to a glass, followed by coffee or cold brew, then the creamer on top, stir and wow — instantly in festive fall season,” Modic wrote. “Note: if you use regular dairy half and half, this creamer will froth up really well too, it is up to you!⁣”
