Stanley Johnson skips wearing a mask again – as son Boris comes under fire over Christmas

Stanley Johnson has been caught on camera going maskless yet again, this time on board public transport.
Back in October, prime minister Boris Johnson’s father claimed to be “unaware” of strict coronavirus rules when he was caught on camera without a face mask three times in one week.
Now, new footage published by The Independent shows the 80-year-old sitting with a bare face onboard a tube train as it pulled out of Victoria station in London at 3.50pm on Monday.
The former Tory MP’s apparent breach came just as it was announced London would be moving into Tier 3 restrictions due to a surge of coronavirus cases in the capital, and with Boris under fire for not cancelling Christmas bubble rules.

A fellow passenger told the publication they first noticed maskless Stanley in the corridor leading to the tube platform.
“Stanley Johnson and I were walking the corridor at the same time towards the platforms. I recognised him immediately and that he wasn’t wearing a mask,” the passenger told the publication.
“I saw him walking towards me and the open carriage still not wearing a mask, so I decided to capture him on video.”
They said that after Stanley noticed the camera, he put on his mask.
The Mirror has contacted Stanley’s office for comment.

Back in October, Stanley was seen going maskless while shopping, onboard a tube train and at a Greek airport – all within one week.
The Mirror revealed how in one incident the PM’s father – who starred in 2017’s I’m A Celebrity series – failed to wear a mask while buying a newspaper in a shop in Maida Vale, west London.
But despite calls for him to be fined £200, the figure set by the government for first-time Covid law-breakers, the Met Police confirmed they would not be chasing him up as he was not caught in real-time.

At the time Stanley apologised for the October blooper, telling the Mirror he had been abroad for three weeks prior to making his error and was not “up to speed” with the rules.
“I’m extremely sorry for the slip up and I would urge absolutely everybody to do everything they can to make sure they do follow the rules about masks and social distancing.
“The fact this was my first day back in the UK after three weeks abroad is, I am sure, no excuse for not knowing the rules.”
