Splatoon 3: All New Weapons in the Game

Splatoon 3 #Splatoon3

Splatoon 3 is on its way, and we learned a glut of information about the upcoming Switch exclusive thanks to a new Nintendo Direct. The colorful, ink-based third-person shooter is set to feature a variety of new weapons to keep the ink flowing and mark each player’s turf across multiplayer matches called Splatfests. It will also include the wacky arms from the previous two Splatoon games as well.

The Splatoon series is all about using intriguing weapons to spread a variety of rainbow-colored ink to mark your turf and to essentially “splat” enemies to defeat them when playing single-player mode. There’s a little something for everyone, many of which are modeled after real-life paint tools, including a massive paint roller that spreads ink at a ridiculously fast rate.

The new Splatoon 3 weapons will certainly be a draw for fans, as they include wiper blade-like Splatanas and bow-like Stringers, much closer to realistic shooter weapons. They should add some interesting offensive dimensions to the game, especially since they have first and secondary fire modes and charge abilities that can turn the game around if used correctly.

Splatoon 3 will feature a host of new weapons as well as the same arsenal seen in the past two games. Nintendo Splatoon 3: All New and Old Weapons in Splatoon 3

Some of the highlights of the crop of new Splatoon 3 weapons include the Splatanas, a new type of offensive weapon that will include the Splatana Wiper. It looks like a windshield wiper, only you’ll be “wiping” ink toward your enemies as it rapidly shoots out ink. Charge it up and it will unleash a Charged Slash.

The new Stringers weapons are controlled like regular bow-and-arrow weapons. They’re found specifically in the Splatlands region. Use them for rapid-fire bow-and-arrow shots, or charge them up for a powerful blast of ink.

There is also a set of special weapons as well, like the beverage cooler Tacticooler that grants buffs, the Wave Breaker marker that unleashes waves to find players across the map, and the Reefslider, which lets players charge up and then use a slam attack into a special area.
