Spain 0-0 Portugal: Cristiano Ronaldo booed every time he touched ball as Morata misses golden chance late on
Morata #Morata
SPAIN’S friendly against fellow Euro 2020 hopefuls Portugal failed to live up to the billing as the two nations played out a bore 0-0 draw.
Alvaro Morata should have won it for the hosts in stoppage time after racing clear on goal, but his effort cannoned off the crossbar at the Wanda Metropolitano.

The striker – on loan at Juventus from Atletico Madrid – missed a handful of chances after being chosen by Luis Enrique to lead the line.
Meanwhile it was a quiet night for Morata’s Old Lady team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo as he failed to impress on his return to Spain where he was booed often by the fans in attendance.
Though credit will have to go to debutant Aymeric Laporte who managed the five-time Ballon d’Or winner well.
The Manchester City centre-back has been included in Enrique’s final squad for the European Championship after being overlooked yet again by France.
Laporte qualifies to play for Spain having spent nearly a decade at Athletic Bilbao prior to his move to the Etihad in 2018.
In a match that lacked the killer instinct in front of goal, Portugal – who started with Ronaldo, Diogo Jota and Joao Felix – has just one shot on target.
And that effort came in the dying embers of the game when Danilo Pereira’s tame header nestled into the arms of goalkeeper Unai Simon.
