NEED TO KNOWCalifornia’s record rain is not over yet

An atmospheric river system battering California over the past few days contributed to at least three deaths and has left hundreds of thousands without power as the threat of flooding remains.

3 QUESTIONS…about new Trump polling

Yahoo News correspondent Andrew Romano breaks down the biggest findings from the latest Yahoo News/YouGov poll.

Anthony: What did you want to probe voters for in this survey and why?

Andrew: We wanted to find out what people know about Trump’s 91 criminal charges and how they’d react if he’s convicted. It’s the biggest wildcard of this election.

Anthony: What’s the top finding?

Andrew: Most Republicans say Trump should be allowed to serve again if convicted of a serious crime (68%). But most voters disagree (53%). That dynamic will define 2024.

Anthony: Was there anything unexpected?

Andrew: Nearly half of the country (!) thinks Trump hasn’t been indicted or is unsure. Once his trials start, I’m curious how awareness will grow — and affect his campaign.
