Solid Snake and Peter Griffin are coming to Fortnite in Chapter 5: everything we know

Leaks are starting to emerge ahead of Fortnite Chapter 5, whose Season 1 begins on Sunday, December 3, 2023. An announcement shown on Xbox prematurely to some users reveals nothing more and nothing less than the new Battle Pass, featuring two significant collaborations: new skins of Solid Snake from the Metal Gear series and Peter Griffin from ‘Family Guy.’ Below, we’ll share everything we know.

Solid Snake and Peter Griffin are Battle Pass skins for Season 1 of Fortnite Chapter 5

Around 3 AM CT on December 1, 2023, some people saw an announcement for the new Fortnite season on Xbox ahead of schedule. This announcement displays Fortnite artwork with the skins from the new Battle Pass, including Solid Snake from Metal Gear and Peter Griffin from ‘Family Guy.’ It’s not a montage because several different people have shared the image in question, which we leave just below:

About Solid Snake, we have little to say: this incarnation of the character appears to be similar to Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty. Snake has long hair and a beard, in addition to his classic infiltration suit. We don’t know if he will have additional styles or if it will be done as in Super Smash Bros., calling the character simply Snake and mixing Solid Snake with Naked Snake/Big Boss from Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater.

Regarding Peter Griffin, we can tell you more. In February 2021, we already mentioned that among the files of the skins and items of Ryu and Chun-Li from Street Fighter, there was curiously a sequence of images of Peter Griffin and Ernie, the giant chicken, fighting:

This sequence of images would have been used for a backpack in the shape of a television that would display it in its entirety, similar to the Street Fighter backpack accessory that showed animated images from the game. There was also a solid clue about Peter Griffin’s arrival at the State of Unreal 2022, where in one of the frames of the presentation, you could see an open Unreal/Fortnite project, and in one of the folders, you could read “Family Guy,” which is the name of ‘Family Guy’ in English, its original language.

In any case, the Peter Griffin shown in the images of the new Battle Pass wears a tuxedo like James Bond, and this detail, along with the inclusion of Solid Snake and the appearance of the other skins, shows us that the theme of the new season is espionage. Not in vain, it’s called Underground, which can be translated into Spanish as “secreto” or “clandestine,” two common terms in espionage. We have less than 48 hours left to play with these two characters so radically different from Fortnite.
