Social media reacts to Texas’ upset loss to Texas Tech

One step forward, two steps back for Texas football.

The Longhorns are making the trip home from Lubbock with a loss after a 37-34 overtime affair with Texas Tech.

Holding on to double-digit leads continues to be an issue for this Texas program. The Red Raiders took advantage of a sluggish second half from Texas to rally back from a 31-17 third-quarter deficit.

The teams traded field goals in the final 30 seconds of the game to force an overtime period tied at 34-34.

Overtime did not go as planned for Steve Sarkisian’s squad. Star running back Bijan Robinson fumbled the first carry of overtime to set Texas Tech up in a great position to win the game.

Texas Tech kicker Trey Wolff hit a 20-yard game-winning field goal as Texas drops to 2-2 on the season.
