Social media reactions to Arkansas blowing big lead in road loss to No. 2 Alabama

Jimmy Dykes #JimmyDykes

It was a tale of two halves in Tuscaloosa on Saturday afternoon as Arkansas fell to No. 2 Alabama 86-83.

The Razorbacks were up by as much as 11 points in the first half, but found themselves down by as many as 12 in the second half. A lot of Arkansas’ second half struggles came from the free throw line and defensive glass.

Despite being down by double-figures with 3:08 left to play, the Razorbacks rallied to cut Alabama’s lead to as little as two with 7.8 seconds left. Ricky Council’s final desperation heave at the buzzer was off the mark and Arkansas suffers their fourth loss of SEC play when leading by as much as 10 points in a game.

Nick Smith Jr. had another great game, scoring 24 points and playing all 40 minutes. Devo Davis also had a huge game adding 21 points in his first big performance since Smith returned to the lineup.

Here’s what they’re saying about Arkansas falling short in their upset bid of Alabama.
