Slow clearing with cooler temps in the 40s Wednesday

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) – Good Wednesday morning. Skies are mainly cloudy to kick off the day with a breezy north wind making it feel a lot colder, morning temperatures are in the 30s.

A mix of sun and clouds will be expected through the morning into the afternoon with the north breeze keeping our high temperatures much cooler than yesterday topping out in the middle to upper 40s. Skies will be clear overnight and that will allow our temperatures to drop into the upper 20s to lower 30s. Along with the chilly morning temps, areas of patchy to locally dense fog and freezing fog will be expected for your Thursday morning commute.

Thursday and Friday will be warmer days with partly cloudy skies in the forecast Thursday with highs reaching the upper 50s. Friday is going to be a great end to the work and school week with sunshine and mild temperatures in the upper 50s to lower 60s. The weekend will be a 50-50 split with sunshine and warm high temperatures forecast for Saturday, highs will top out in the low to middle 60s.

Widespread rain showers will begin to move in from the west starting early Sunday morning. Rainfall can be heavy at times through the day Sunday with breezy winds gusting to 30 miles per hour at times. Some rain showers will carry over into Monday morning with Monday afternoon high temps in the low to middle 50s. Rainfall totals for Sunday and Monday will be between 0.5 to 1 inch.
