A fan of The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim has their Dark Brotherhood kill stolen by a wild bear. Players can join four factions in The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim, each with its own quest line and unique bonuses. In addition to the Companions, College of Winterhold, and Thieves Guild, gamers can become a member of the Dark Brotherhood in Skyrim.
Fans interested in joining the Dark Brotherhood can do so by completing a quest named Innocence Lost. The Dark Brotherhood is essentially a group of assassins, but players get a few useful benefits upon joining this faction. As an example, users get a unique horse named Shadowmere as a part of a quest, which also happens to be one of the best horses in The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim. Gamers can take on various assassination contracts as a part of the Dark Brotherhood, but one fan had their kill stolen by a wild bear.

A Reddit user named depriv3d has shared a clip of a bear killing Hern, the intended target of a Dark Brotherhood contract in Skyrim. The user meets up with Hern to complete the quest, but they see a bear come out of nowhere and attack the NPC. A fight starts between Hern and the bear as depriv3d watches the battle unfold from afar. Another NPC named Hert decides to help Hern kill the bear, but it’s too late as the target falls at that exact moment. The player gets rewarded for the kill as the updated quest log asks them to report back to Nazir from the Dark Brotherhood.
The video ends with Hert meeting the same fate as Hern as the cave bear turns its attention to the poster depriv3d. A Skyrim fan jokingly states that the bear will wake up in an abandoned cabin tomorrow with an assassin asking it to join the Dark Brotherhood. Some players also comment on how depriv3d used the bear to kill the target without even lifting a finger. The video ends on a cliffhanger and one user mentions loving the final shot, as the outcome of depriv3d’s fight against the bear is currently unknown.
The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim – Anniversary Edition is out now for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
