Sixers guard Matisse Thybulle impresses again in Australia Olympic win

While the Philadelphia 76ers continue to figure out their offseason plans after the draft, there are some players who are still playing games.
Defensive stud Matisse Thybulle is playing for Australia in the 2020 Olympics out in Tokyo and he continues to make an impact for the Boomers. He has been helpful in getting the team off to a good start and that continued against Germany in the wee hours of the morning on Saturday.
Thybulle had four points and four steals as Australia knocked off Germany 89-76 to finish up 3-0 in group play. They will not head on to the quarterfinals on their Olympic journey.
While the four points and four steals are a bit underwhelming, Thybulle now has 10 steals through three games in Tokyo. That is good for a 3.33 steals per game average for the All-Defensive Second Team member.

As the Olympics continue, it will be interesting to see Thybulle add to his game before coming back to the states. The Sixers could definitely use a confident Thybulle off their bench as they move forward with their title quest. He has been knocking down the 3-ball a bit more consistently so that is a skill that needs to be brought back over to the Sixers in the 2021-22 season.
