Pete Murray has welcomed his fourth child, a girl with wife Mira Eady.

The singer-songwriter, 51, announced the happy news on his Instagram on June 10, sharing a precious photo of himself cradling the newborn.

In the photo, a casually dressed Pete cradled the newborn who looked cute as a button in a yellow onesie and with a blanket wrapped around her.

Pete and wife Mira are already parents to daughter Saachi, three. He is also a father to teenage sons Charlie and Pedro from his previous marriage to Amanda Coutts.

The artist, who debuted his first album Feeler in 2003, previously told 9Honey Celebrity that fatherhood is what he’s most proud of.

‘Having kids is the best thing you ever do with your life. Doesn’t matter what you achieve, having the kids, they are the most important thing to you,’ he said.

Pete and Mira have no plans on adding to their brood, with Pete telling 9Honey that their ‘family is now complete’.

The birth of his fourth child comes after Pete told his Instagram fans that he’s starring in the upcoming season of SAS Australia, which will debut later this year.

Last month, Pete shared a photo of his SAS headshot alongside his fellow recruits, captioning it, ‘If you didn’t know, this is coming up!’

Pete will join other stars including Sam Burgess, Isabelle Cornish, Brynne Edelsten, Erin Holland, Manu Feildel, Jett Kenny and Dan Ewing.

Former Special Forces soldiers Ant Middleton, Mark ‘Billy’ Billingham, Jason ‘Foxy’ Fox and Matthew ‘Ollie’ Ollerton are all returning to the show.

The contestants will endure strenuous physical activity and military-inspired challenges in order to test their true character.
