Simply the best? High praise for Eagles’ Jalen Hurts

The Philadelphia Eagles may not have been able to pull off the Super Bowl win on Sunday night, but Jalen Hurts’ talent is still recognized.

ESPN’s Dan Orlovsky praised the quarterback on “Get Up!” Monday:

“Best game I’ve seen him play. He was absolutely dominant. The trust he had with the football, the control he had with the football, the placement he had with the football. I remember watching him throw against the Giants this year and coming on and saying: ‘I have never seen a quarterback improve as a passer as Jalen Hurts has done. And [Sunday] was even more impressive … This guy five years ago was benched because he couldn’t throw the ball well enough … Philadelphia, he’s got a chance to be the best quarterback they’ve ever had.”

In Sunday’s 38-35 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, Hurts recorded 304 passing yards and one touchdown to go with 70 rushing yards and three touchdowns on the ground. With that, the 24-year-old broke the Super Bowl record for quarterback rushing yards.
