Simply Red frontman Mick Hucknall, look-a-likes and the man from Up in Sunderland: Burnley boss Sean Dyche delivers bizarre press conference

But Burnley boss Sean Dyche certainly got fans talking when he went on a bizarre tangent about lookalikes and the games he likes to play with his backroom staff and family members while on holiday.
And Sunderland got a mention too as he brought an element of fun to his pre-match chat.
This is what the Burnley boss had to say at his pre-match press conference on Tuesday, the conversation sparked when he was told he looked like Simply Red frontman Mick Hucknall.

He said: “Lockdown is really hard for everyone and really boring for everyone.
“I like to have a natter and show a bit of humanity in the world.
“Boring questions? I’ll bat ’em off. You ask me a silly question, it’s not even an answer, I might as well not bore everyone to death.
“We’re not sinking ourselves. We’re raising ourselves to look-a-likeys. They make the world go round.
“Have you ever sat in a pub, although that seems like a distant memory, where your mates have just sat there and found look-a-likeys in the pub? It’s one of the best bits of fun you’ll ever have in a night. Trust me, just do it the next time you’re allowed in a pub.
“Brilliant fun. I love look-a-likeys. We’re certainly not lowering ourselves. We’re raising our bar here.
“On holiday it’s a brilliant family game. Get your kids involved when they’re of an age. They do that thing where they go ‘Dad, I’ve got one, over there. Look, Bungle’.
“What? How do you even know Bungle? Then every night at a restaurant you go ‘look, Bungle’s in again’. Brilliant.”
And he then made a reference to one time when he brought his Burnley side to Wearside.
Dyche added: “Has anyone seen the kids’ film Up?
“You know the little one with the glasses? I swear to you, we were playing at Sunderland and a live, human version of that man [Carl Fredricksen – voiced by Edward Asner] was there.
“I said to the lads and the staff, ‘oh my God, lads, I’ve got the best one ever’. He was just literally at the bar.
“I pointed and said ‘fella out of Up’. Oh my god, they were crying. It was the best look-a-likey I’ve ever had.
“It was the cartoon man out of Up, but in a human form. It was bizarre.”
Burnley boss Dyche also thinks it is a game other top flight managers should play and he had this piece of advice for his fellow managers.
He added: “If you want get to the real depths of reporting, go around all the Premier League managers and ask ‘do you play the look-a-likey game?’
“If they give you a boring answer, we will drive down and slap them with a wet fish and say, ‘that is for your boring answer’.
“Everyone should play it. Brilliant!,” he added.
