Emily Maitlis was told to “f**k off” by US politician Marjorie Taylor Greene in a shocking interview about conspiracy theorists.

The former BBC presenter interviewed the republican congresswoman at reality star/former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago headquarters in Florida for Super Tuesday. The conversation started about the former president’s rival, Nikki Haley, before it shifted to her supporters.

Maitlis questioned Greene on why “so many people who support Donald Trump love conspiracy theories, including yourself” during the tense conversation. A riled-up Greene responded: “Let me tell you, you’re a conspiracy theorist. The left and the media spread more conspiracy theories. We like the truth, we like supporting our Constitution, our freedoms and America First.”

She was then asked about her since-deleted 2018 Facebook post she made about a Rothschild-owned space laser being responsible for devastating wildfires in California. Greene hit back with: “Why don’t you go talk about Jewish space lasers and really why don’t you f**k off? How about that?”

Maitlis quickly replied: “Thank you very much,” as Greene stormed off from the interview. The bizarre discussion came after The Apprentice star Trump won the primary ballot in Maine, Oklahoma, Virginia, North Carolina, Texas, Tennessee, Minnesota and Massachusetts.

At first, Maitlis asked the congresswoman about Haley, with Greene saying Haley should drop out of the race and support Trump. “We’ve been encouraging her to drop out and support President Trump and I think tonight is the clear message that President Trump is the clear front runner.”

“He’s the winner in our Republican primary and it’s time for Nikki Haley to drop out and support him.” It’s not the first time the congresswoman resorted to swearing. A couple of weeks ago; Greene told David Cameron to “kiss my a**” after the Foreign Secretary waded into a row over funding for Ukraine.

The former PM urged Congress to vote through a package for the sake of global security and aid President Zelensky’s fight against Russia. In an article for a US publication, Cameron called on US politicians to pass a critical bill worth over $90billion. He admitted he was “going to drop all diplomatic niceties”.

He said: “I want us all — U.S., U.K., European and other allies — to support Ukraine in fighting against completely unjustified aggression. It is hard to think of a clearer case of one country being invaded by another without the slightest justification. I believe our joint history shows the folly of giving in to tyrants in Europe who believe in redrawing boundaries by force. I do not want us to show the weakness displayed against Hitler in the 1930s. He came back for more, costing us far more lives to stop his aggression.”

Asked about the ex-PM’s comments, Greene said: “I think he tried to compare us to Hitler also and if that’s the kind of language he wants to use I really have no time for him. I really don’t care what David Cameron has to say. I think that’s rude name calling and I really don’t appreciate that type of language. David Cameron needs to worry about his own country and frankly, he can kiss my a**”.
