Shepherd football’s Aidan Lammers commits to Montana Western

BILLINGS — Shepherd football’s Aidan Lammers has committed to play college football at Montana Western, per a social media post from Shepherd Mustangs Football on the platform X, formerly known as Twitter.

Lammers, a two-time Class B all-state running back for the Mustangs, led them to back-to-back state quarterfinal appearances in 2022 (that one being Shepherd’s first playoff win since 1995) and 2023.

He tallied a monster 405 yards on 30 carries in an October game against Huntley Project this past season, which is officially the fourth-most rushing yards in a single game in Montana history.

Montana Western, meanwhile, just capped off a historic season in Dillon, winning the Frontier Conference outright for the first time since 1995. The Bulldogs were defeated this past weekend in the second round of the NAIA playoffs by the College of Idaho.
