Newcastle United went in against Sheffield Wednesday looking to stay off the weekend’s list of shock results in the FA Cup.
Eddie Howe rotated his team but still included a team of big money signings including £63million Alexander Isak, £35million defender Sven Botman and £40million star Joelinton.
And the early chances of the game fell to Isak on his return with Owls keeper Cameron Dawson keeping out early goal attempts.

Struggled for touches to begin. Used his pace to nip through just before the break but couldn’t beat the oncoming Dawson who sprinted out and narrowed the angle.
