Sharks gun set to extend Cronulla stay after impressive season start — Transfer Whispers
Moylan #Moylan
The Sharks have reportedly upped their extension offer from one year to two years in a bid to lock in Matt Moylan.
The in-form playmaker has formed a strong partnership with off-season recruit Nicho Hynes and the duo have been instrumental in the Cronulla side’s resurgence in 2022.
Moylan requested a two-year extension, and according to The Daily Telegraph, his wish is about to be granted as the club are set to kick off negotiations.

The former Panther took a huge pay-cut to sign a one-year deal this season, hoping to revive his career after signing a hefty four-year $850,000-a-year deal in 2017.
Injuries have plagued Moylan’s time in Cronulla and coach Craig Fitzgibbon praised his five-eighth earlier in the year.
“He (Moylan) had a rough trot for four years,” Fitzgibbon said.
“He’s worked really hard to care for himself, his preparation. He just had such a good pre-season.

Moylan’s current one-year deal is said to worth around $350,000 but will likely see a slight increase if the one-time Kangaroo signs a new deal.
According to The Daily Telegraph, the Broncos have shown interest in Moylan and were likely to make a play if Moylan became available.
