The Baby Boomer 1950’s era was a fun and exciting time to grow up. The world was moving quickly after the end of WWII… families everywhere shared the new Baby Boomer expansion in America accompanied by a booming commercial market which brought a new freedom. Although everyday life was filled with bright colors black & white film and TV (rather than the radio of the 40’s) claimed center stage in living rooms everywhere.
Cars boasted shiny fenders and big fins, music shifted to Doo Wop and Rock n Roll. Barbie made her world debut into little girls everyday lives, while Disneyland in Anaheim held it’s opening first day celebrations, accompanied by TV shows “The World of Disney” every Sunday night and “The Mickey Mouse Club” in the afternoon three times a week. Here are a few 50’a memories and songs from this decade…. hope you enjoy.
