Shakira is expected to go to court in Spain in the near future, where prosecutors have accused her of committing tax fraud.

The “Hips Don’t Lie” singer has refuted the charges and plans to go to trial to defend herself, according to Reuters. A publicist for Shakira told E! News that the singer is “confident that her innocence will be proven by the end of the judicial process.”

Shakira “has always cooperated and abided by the law, demonstrating impeccable conduct as an individual and a taxpayer, and faithfully following the counsel of PriceWaterhouse Coopers, a prestigious and globally recognized tax firm,” the rep said, before throwing some shade at Spanish authorities. The Spanish Tax Office “continues to violate her rights,” the rep said, before calling the case “baseless.”

Prosecutors claim that Shakira failed to pay the Spanish government about $15 million in taxes between 2012 and 2014, per Reuters. With an (possible) tax bill that high, it means she made much more than that.
