Sergio Busquets Hasn’t Made a Single Tweet Since Posting “We’re Ready” Before Barcelona’s Anfield Collapse

Believe it or not, FC Barcelona superstar Sergio Busquets has not tweeted a single post since his motivational tweet a day before the Blaugrana suffered an unbelievable 4-0 semi-final collapse against Liverpool at Anfield in the UEFA Champions League.

Barcelona led 3-0 from the first leg at the Camp Nou and it looked like they will be completing a formality by playing the second leg, but they were granted 90 minutes of hell at Anfield by Jurgen Klopp’s side.

After their knockout from the Champions League, Barcelona players were pretty shocked and if we dare say, they haven’t been the same ever since.

On that ill-fated night for the Blaugrana, Busquets, a two time Champions League winner, had tweeted “We’re ready” with his pictures in training.

Two years have passed since that tweet and Busquets has not made a single tweet after the above. It is understood that he wasn’t particularly active on social media anyway, but he still made an occasional post of his training sessions.

Liverpool fans noticed this and reacted in numbers….

Tomorrow is the 2nd year anniversary, Busquets has never tweeted anything since this I’m hearing? https://t.co/aIBpsDBP0n

A brace each for Divock Origi and Gini Wijnaldum saw Liverpool knock Barcelona out of the Champions League in shocking fashion by an aggregate scoreline of 4-3.
