Quarterback Brayden Davis rushed for two touchdowns and threw for one to help lead Seneca to a 41-24 win over Sterling in Somerdale.

Davis scored on a quarterback draw with a little over four minutes left in the second quarter before connecting on a 44-yard touchdown pass to Mac Carlin about two minutes later. Adam Klen opened up Seneca’s (1-3) scoring in the first quarter on a 5-yard run and rushed for another in the second quarter on an option from 39 yards out before Davis’ exploits.

Sterling clawed back as quarterback Jeremiah Thompson hooked up for his first of three touchdown passes to Kristian Valeriano late in the second quarter and did it again midway through the third quarter to close the deficit to 28-16.

George Thorp then scored for Seneca to expand their lead to 34-16 with a 29-yard run but Valeriano’s third touchdown pass from Thompson again sliced Seneca’s lead but Davis was able to score his second rushing touchdown with a 1-yard dance into the end zone to finish off the game.
