Senators’ Alex Formenton: Takes leave from Swiss club

Formenton has been granted a leave of absence from Swiss club Ambri Piotta on Wednesday.
According to the release, Formenton will return to Canada for personal reasons and will be away from the team indefinitely. Despite playing in Switzerland, the winger remains on the Senators’ reserve list as an unsigned restricted free agent.
