Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis elevated a former lawyer and adviser for US Sen. Rick Scott to the state Supreme Court Tuesday.
Meredith Sasso, a member of the state’s chapter of the conservative Federalist Society, served as chief deputy general counsel for Scott (R) when he was governor. Scott appointed her to a state appellate court in 2019.
