See Every “Over-the-Top” Detail of Shereé Whitfield’s Sip-and-See for Her Granddaughter

Although Shereé Whitfield explained on Season 15 Episode 15 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta that she didn’t expect to be a “glamma” for a few more years, now that her first grandchild, Mecca, is here, she couldn’t be more excited about the new addition to her family.

With that in mind, Shereé decided to plan a lavish party to celebrate the arrival of Kairo Whitfield’s daughter, and no expense was spared. 

“It has to be fabulous,” Shereé told the planner she was working with during the August 20 episode. “It has to be over-the-top. It has to be beautiful.” 

“Hopefully no one expected anything less than Shereé when this is her first glam-baby,” she added in an interview. “I’m ready to show the world how you put together a proper sip-and-see, because Mecca is going to have the world and this is only the start.”

For the incredible event, she told the planner, “There is a budget, but there is no budget.” 

When the party finally came together, Shereé’s house was transformed with over-the-top balloons installations, lavish floral displays, sweet teddy bears, a jaw-dropping cake, and the cutest photos of Mecca. 

Although party details are often a hot topic on RHOA, Shereé’s friends were beyond impressed by the celebration. “This is so gorgeous,” Sanya Richards-Ross said, and Cynthia Bailey later agreed, “This is so nice.” Kandi Burruss added, “I love the way they set everything up. It’s really pretty.” 

“Wow, look at the flowers,” Kenya Moore said as she arrived, adding in an interview, “She spent some money. Those balloons alone cost thousands.”

Kairo was especially touched by the lavish details. “I told you don’t go crazy,” he told Shereé, to which she responded, “[Mecca is] so deserving of all of this and more.”

Shereé recently gushed over Mecca in a July interview with Glamour. “I think about that little baby all day. She’s growing so fast,” she said. “When I’m in a moment or if I want to be cheered up, I literally go look at one of her videos of her trying to walk or eating. She’s so funny. You know, when she first came out she had the best little personality.”
