Sean Hannity’s ‘Please Take COVID Seriously’ Speech on Fox News Viewed Over 2M Times

A viral video that shows Fox News host Sean Hannity pleading with viewers to “take COVID seriously” has been watched more than 2 million times since it was uploaded on to social media.
Speaking during the Monday night edition of his show, Hannity pleaded with his viewers to take COVID seriously and came out in support of vaccination.
The Fox News host said: “Please take COVID seriously, I can’t say it enough. Enough people have died, we don’t need more deaths.
“Research like crazy, talk to your doctor, your doctors, medical professionals you trust based on your unique medical history, your current medical condition and you and your doctor make a very important decision for your own safety. Take it seriously.”
Hannity continued: “You also have a right to medical privacy, doctor-patient confidentiality is also important and it absolutely makes sense for many Americans to get vaccinated.
“I believe in science and I believe in the science of vaccination.”
The clip of Hannity’s segment has been viewed more than 2.4 million times since it was uploaded on to Twitter late Monday night.
Hannity’s comments sparked an avalanche of comments on the social media platform with some praising the Fox News host, while others said it had come too late.
Veteran GOP pollster Frank Luntz said: “Every @FoxNews primetime host needs to say this to their viewers. Sean Hannity will save a few lives with his words tonight.”
Progressive broadcaster Keith Boykin was less positive and tweeted: “So, Sean Hannity and Fox News waited 16 months while 600,000 Americans were killed and 35 million infected before they finally decided to encourage their viewers to ‘take COVID seriously’ and ‘believe in science.'”

A commenter with more than 24,000 followers posted: “Sean Hannity is a firefighter showing up months after the fire killed half a million people.”
Hannity’s comments came as deaths continue to be registered in the pandemic, which has already claimed nearly 625,000 lives across the U.S.
But, Fox News has been met with criticism over comments made about the vaccine and COVID restrictions, which the government promoted in an attempt to save more American lives.
The network’s talisman host, Tucker Carlson, went on the offensive against Democratic Illinois Senator Dick Durbin, after the politician called him and his colleague Laura Ingraham “anti-vaxx quacks.”
During an episode of Tucker Carlson Tonight, the host hit back at Durbin and insisted he was not against vaccination, but claimed to be concerned with finding answers about “basic questions” concerning COVID-19 jabs in particular.
The CDC has recommended Americans get vaccinated against COVID and has said the jab is both “safe and effective.”
