Sea Dragons vs. Defenders game line, odds: XFL expert releases pick for Sunday’s season opener

Dragons #Dragons

The Seattle Sea Dragons battle the D.C. Defenders in an XFL season opener on Sunday. Kickoff from Audi Field in Washington, D.C., is set for 8 p.m. ET. The Sea Dragons are favored by 1.5 points in the latest Sea Dragons vs. Defenders odds from Caesars Sportsbook, while the over/under is set at 36. Before you make any Sea Dragons vs. Defenders picks or any other XFL predictions, you NEED to see which side SportsLine’s R.J. White is on.

White, a Fantasy and gambling editor for CBS Sports, consistently crushes against-the-spread picks and went 535-450-30 on his ATS picks from 2017-22, which returned more than $3,500 to $100 players. He also closed the NFL season on an incredible 107-80-6 on his last 193 against-the-spread and total NFL picks during the 2022 NFL season, returning more than $1,800 for $100 bettors.

White has crushed not only the NFL but also the XFL during its abbreviated season, going 16-4 on XFL ATS picks before the league suspended operations as sportsbooks scrambled to correctly evaluate team quality in a league where little was known heading into the season. Anyone who has followed him is WAY UP!

White knows Seattle will be led by quarterback Ben DiNucci, a former seventh-round pick by the Dallas Cowboys in the 2020 NFL Draft. That year, he served as a backup in Dallas, playing in three games, completing 23 of 43 passes (53.5%) for 219 yards. He played collegiately at Pittsburgh for two years, before transferring to James Madison. He had an outstanding season his senior year in 2019, completing 268 of 378 passes (70.9%) for 3,441 yards and 29 touchdowns, while throwing six interceptions for a 169.5 rating.

He also knows Jordan Ta’amu, a former standout at Ole Miss, is expected to start the season opener at quarterback for D.C. In two years with the Rebels, he threw for 5,600 yards, completing 381 of 591 passes (64.5%) for 30 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. In 2018, he completed 266 of 418 passes (63.6%) for 3,918 yards and 19 touchdowns with eight interceptions. He also rushed 116 times for 342 yards (2.9 average) and six touchdowns.

Now, White has locked in another confident against the spread pick for Sea Dragons vs. Defenders. We can tell you he’s leaning Under the total, but he knows a crucial X-factor makes one side of the spread a MUST-BACK! You ABSOLUTELY need to see what it is before locking in any picks of your own.
