Republican presidential candidates Nikki Haley and Tim Scott of South Carolina will appear in an early-primary state forum hosted by former Fox News personality Tucker Carlson this week.

The forum is slated to be held Friday at 10 a.m., with Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, former Vice President Mike Pence and former Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson along with Haley and Scott, according to BlazeTV, a conservative media outlet that’s broadcasting the forum.

The forum will be held in Des Moines, Iowa, and is organized by BlazeTV and the conservative FAMiLY Leadership Summit organization. Carlson will talk one-on-one with candidates, according to BlazeTV.

Former President Donald Trump, the frontrunner in the GOP primary race, was invited to the forum but will not be attending, according to President and CEO of FAMiLY Leadership Summit Bob Vander Plaats. The Hill reported that Trump’s campaign team said his absence is due to a scheduling conflict, as Trump is slated to appear at an event in Florida over the weekend.

According to FAMiLY Leadership Summit’s website, President Joe Biden, South Dakota Republican Gov. Kristi Noem, Democratic presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Trump all were invited but did not confirm they are attending.

The forum will be broadcast live on the BlazeTV and its youtube channel.

Neither Haley or Scott have said anything so far about their appearance via Twitter or other outlets.
