Scott Morrison Makes Freudian Slip When Talking About Health Minister Greg Hunt
Freudian #Freudian
Scott Morrison has come as close as anyone can possibly come to saying one of the most taboo words in the English language during a press conference.
The Australian Prime Minister was updating reporters on the rollout of the coronavirus vaccine today (April 7).
During the presser, the PM was referring to Australia’s Health Minister Greg Hunt.
Anyone who is aware of the dangers of a last name like Hunt will know that you need to say it very clearly and not have anything else on your mind.
Not that we’re saying Mr Morrison was distracted, however during this particular mention of Mr Hunt’s last name, it started with a C instead of an H before he quickly corrected himself.
While it was less than a second, it wasn’t long before the moment was picked up by people on social media and it has since gone viral.
Hundreds of people have liked a post on Reddit that captured the Freudian slip, with one person commenting: “The most Aussie thing Scott Morrison has ever said and it was an accident.”
Another person addd: “I can’t wait for the get on the beers remix of this.”
A third wrote: “At least he’s referring to Liberal minsters by the correct term.”
A different user even suggested what would have happened if a reporter pulled Mr Morrison up on the little slip up.
“Reporter: why did you call your health minister a c**t?
“Scomo: after talking with Jenny and a speech consultant, I simply deny that interpretation of the events. In fact, let’s not do glass houses here. You should look within your own business for people with speech issues.”
