The Phoenix Suns will see a familiar face in the lineup tonight when it comes to officiating.

PHOENIX — Preparations are underway for the Phoenix Suns as they look to even the series against the Los Angeles Clippers tonight.

The Suns weren’t too happy with some of the officiating in their Game 1 loss, and it appears as if things may not improve tonight with Scott Foster leading the way.

Normally, Foster being a crew chief wouldn’t be a giant deal. However, it is notable that Suns point guard Chris Paul is 0-14 in his last 14 playoff games with Foster on the floor.

Tony Brothers and James Williams are the other crew chiefs for tonight.

Aside from officiating, the Suns will look to fix some of their own mistakes to prevent themselves from going down 0-2 in the series. According to Oddshark, only 20 teams in 282 seven-game playoff series have ever come back to win. The last team to do so in the first round were the Portland Trail Blazers in 2016.

Phoenix hopes they can get off to a better start than they did in Game 1 after trailing the Clippers 30-18. The Suns eventually battled back to take a six-point lead in the third quarter but ultimately couldn’t pull away.

Phoenix also hopes Kevin Durant will be more involved down the stretch, as he just took one shot in the final five minutes of the game.

Game 2 of Suns-Clippers is scheduled to begin at 7:00 PM PST tonight at the Footprint Center in downtown Phoenix, AZ. The Suns are still betting favorites despite their loss on Sunday.
