The game will be the first for the Bananas at a Major League ballpark.

HOUSTON — The Savannah Bananas are bringing their world-famous baseball circus to Minute Maid Park Saturday night. It’ll be the first time ever for the Bananas to play in a Major League ballpark.

They’ll be playing their regular opponent, the Party Animals. One of the players on the Party Animals is infielder Jorden Hussein, who went to North Shore High School.

“I mean, it’s awesome,” he said “Like growing up, I’ve been to hundreds and hundreds of Astros games. When we were losing a hundred games a year, I was here. And it was always my dream to play here and I never thought it would be this way, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

The game at Minute Maid Park is a sellout. They also have more than 150,000 fans trying to get tickets online.

First pitch is scheduled for 7 p.m.

This is the second time the Bananas have played in the Houston area. Last year, they played in Sugar Land.
