Savannah Area High School Football Player of the Week: Paulus Zittrauer, Savannah Christian

Player of the Week #PlayeroftheWeek

Savannah Christian’s Paulus Zittrauer has been on point all season long as the Raiders’ quarterback — serving as a conductor on a squad full of playmakers.

On Friday night, Zittrauer distributed the ball well as he completed 11 of 14 passes for 164 yards and four touchdowns (two to Kenry Wall and two to David Bucey), and also ran for a score in one half of play to lead the Raiders to a 49-6 win over Battery Creek.

Zittrauer was selected as the Savannah Morning News Football Player of the Week in a poll of readers. He garnered 38.2% of the vote to edge his teammate Wall (30.6%) and Richmond Hill quarterback Ty Goldrick (13%).

The senior has completed 68% of his passes for 389 yards with six touchdowns and one interception on the season for the Raiders (3-0), who are set to host Savannah Country Day on Friday night at Pooler Stadium.
