Saudi king’s widow wins property rights on billionaire’s row

A widow of a Saudi Arabian king has won a long-running battle over ownership of what was Britain’s most expensive home.

Princess Al Jawharah bint Ibrahim Abdulaziz Alibrahim was sued by a foundation that held Kenstead Hall for the benefit of the heirs of the late King Fahd bin Abdulaziz.

The foundation told the High Court in London that she deprived her nine step-children of the rightful share of their inheritance.

Kenstead Hall is on The Bishops Avenue, which is described by estate agents as “billionaires’ row” due to its cluster of high-value homes in Hampstead, north London.

Fahd bought the eight-bedroom, 1930s mock-Tudor house from Ravi Tikkoo, the shipping tycoon, in 1976 for £2.7million, a record price at the time for a British property.
