Sarah Lancashire fights back tears as Happy Valley win big at NTAs

Sarah Lancashire was clearly emotional when receiving the award for Happy Valley during the National Television Awards ceremony.
It comes after the BBC programme took home the title for Best Recurring Drama, beating the likes of Call the Midwife, Vera and Stranger Things.
As the cast took to the stage, the actress looked overwhelmed as she appeared alongside her colleagues.
Fans quickly took to Twitter to share their excitement at the win as many viewers congratulated them.

When they accepted the award, Ishia Bennison said: “When we came back after the first two brilliant series, we weren’t sure how it would be received.
“We were completely overwhelmed with the reception.
After saying her thank you’s it wasn’t long before her attention turned to the main actress in the show.
She added: “Our phenomenal cast, who are led by this outstanding woman to my right.”
As the crowd erupted into applause, Sarah was called amazing as she looked emotional at the tribute.
Ishia added: “She sets the bar so high, that we all want to be up there with her.”
However, creator Sally Wainwright wasn’t able to be there to accept the special award.
